Alex Katz 3. March – 14. April 2001 opening: 2nd of March from 6 - 9 pm discussion:4th of April4 at 7 pm We are very pleased to invite you to the second solo exhibition of Alex Katz in the gallery. From March 3rd to April 14th Katz will present his series "Brown Woods", which consists of two large-scale forest landscapes, several oil sketches and ink drawings. This exhibition offers one of the rare occsasions to see the really spectacular large-scale works by Alex Katz, which are usually reserved for museum presentations, in the context of a dealer gallery. We are very proud to host that exhibition and to invite you to this unique show! We would also like to announce the date for an evening discussion: On April 4, at 7 p.m. Alex Katz and Luc Tuymans will discuss their works in the gallery, moderated by the German art critic Harald Fricke. We would be very happy to welcome you to both the exhibition and the discussion, particularly this being the exceptional and very special occasion to experience these two high-profile artists in an exciting dialogue. Since we are expecting a huge interest we would appreciate your reply so that we can reserve a seat for you. A publication is issued on the occasion of the exibition. The leporello introduces the series "Brown Woods" and includes an essay by Christoph Tannert.
